What is Autopilot?
Autopilot is the newest Pro feature in Shortzly that puts your entire short-form content pipeline on cruise control. Instead of manually finding videos, creating clips, and uploading to each platform, Autopilot does everything for you — automatically.
How It Works
The setup takes 60 seconds:
- Enter a topic — like "AI news", "cooking tips", or "cryptocurrency updates"
- Pick your social accounts — select which platforms to publish to
- Set publish times — different times per platform if you want
- Activate — Autopilot takes over
Behind the Scenes
Every few minutes, Autopilot checks if your content pool needs refilling. When it does:
- Discovery: Searches YouTube for fresh videos matching your topic from the last 7 days
- AI Ranking: Analyzes engagement metrics, title quality, and viral potential to pick the best video
- Clip Creation: Runs the full Shortzly pipeline — highlight detection, face tracking, animated captions, brand assets
- Pool Ready: Clips sit in a ready pool waiting for your scheduled publish time
- Auto-Publish: At each scheduled time, the right clip is published to the right platform in the right aspect ratio
Smart Features
Per-Platform Scheduling
Not every platform peaks at the same time. Set TikTok to post at 9 AM and 6 PM, YouTube Shorts at 1 PM, and Instagram Reels at 8 PM. Each account gets its own schedule.
Platform-Aware Formatting
Autopilot automatically picks the right clip format for each platform — 9:16 for TikTok and Reels, 16:9 for LinkedIn and Facebook, 1:1 for Instagram feed posts.
Safety Guardrails
Autopilot automatically pauses if your monthly quota is running low (you get a warning at 80%), if your social accounts disconnect, or if 5 consecutive videos fail to produce good clips for your topic.
No Duplicate Content
Every processed video is tracked. Autopilot never processes the same YouTube video twice for your account.
